The College of Staten Island took to the road and broke up their losing streak, scoring a 57-36 WIN over John Jay College in women’s swimming action. CSI won six of the 11 events at the meet, which did not include diving. The Dolphins lifted their overall mark to 2-4 and evened to 1-1 in CUNYAC play.
John Jay held a modest lead after three events, but a win by Victoria Crea in the 50 freestyle gave CSI the advantage again. Two events later, Ewa Wojciechowska scored first place in the 100 yard butterfly and then Crea doubled with a win in the 100 freestyle events, giving CSI the lead for good.
CSI would add another win in the 100 yard breaststroke event with Dakota Dawkins, and then finished with a top finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
CSI is next in actIon on December 6 when they travel to take on Brooklyn College.
