Castellano leads the team with 283 digs and keeps the rally alive by diving on the floor to pass to her teammates. O’Malley-Rebovich and Jay-La Guy will have to be a wall at the net tonight and force opposing hitters to adjust their shot.
Players to Watch (BC): Anita Sengara has punished opposing teams with 296 kills on the season while hitting .173. Pairing up with Sengara has been Stella Chung collecting 192 kills. Katherine Chen will be a player the Dolphins will want to keep track of as she has tallied 391 assists this season and will look to add to that tonight. Shannon Barrett will look to alter the Dolphins’ shots as she has amassed 23 total blocks.
News & Notes: The Bearcats have won the last 19 meetings against the Dolphins, dropping just three sets along the way. The last Staten Island win came back in 1996, a 3-0 sweep at The Tank. Since that win, the closest the Dolphins have come to toppling Baruch came in 2013 where the match extended to five sets. This new look Dolphins team this season has the firepower to break the 19-match losing skid against the Bearcats after posting their best CUNYAC mark since the 2009 season.
